Hybrid Phonons

Hybrid Phonon Modes: Master Index

These files contain various notes, information, and thoughts relating to confined and interface phonons in multilayer semiconductors, and were written between September 1997 and February 1998. They are not intended to be any kind of complete or authoritative description, but were intended only to help me organise my thoughts. Consequently they are somewhat out of date and incomplete; and not necessarily indicative of my current understanding, let alone representative of others more expert on the subject(s). I present them here merely because they, or the hyperlinked-notes concept might be of interest to some people. The internal hyperlinks were automatically generated using a simple (bash) shell script I wrote

These notes generally follow either my own thoughts or from reading the named references, and-or from discussions with Paul Harrison or Rob Kelsall. Some discussions also took place with Babiker, Bennett, and Zakhleniuk.
